On November 28, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov received a telephone call from Foreign Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt Sameh Shoukry.
The ministers exchanged opinions on the situation in the Middle East and North Africa, focusing on the developments in Syria, including the need to normalise the humanitarian situation and the role the UN Security Council could play at this stage.
They also discussed practical aspects of strengthening the multifaceted Russian-Egyptian cooperation.
