An opportunity has arisen for a Production/Office manager with a leading pan-African publishing company. Reporting to the General Manager, the Production/Office manager will oversee all aspects of production, from initial brief to final delivery. Central to the role will be ensuring that all production aspects between departments are coordinated in a timely and effective manner. You will also ensure the smooth and efficient running of the office. You will need to be organised, have the ability to multi- task and prioritise, to communicate effectively with other departments and with suppliers, be able to use initiative and deal with issues, and most importantly work effectively as a team player.
Production Management:
- Creating yearly schedules for all 8 magazines, and managing designers and editors re schedules
- Chasing advertisers’ artwork and checking with designer artwork meets in-house specifications
- Chasing editors for flat plans and checking against ad lists. Liaising with editorial to update flat plans
- Main liaison for printer
- Supplying print orders
- Checking and approving pages on printer’s online flat plan file delivery system
- Project managing all print work for Events department
- Project managing all in-house sales and marketing materials
- Managing in-house designer
- Getting quotes from external printers
Office Management:
- Monitoring general office supplies and reordering when necessary
- Receiving and distributing general and editorial emails
- Dealing with requests for publishing authorisation
- Renewing all company insurances and licences
- Signing off supplier invoices
- Ad hoc PA tasks for CEO and General Manager
- Main point of contact for suppliers including: cleaner/landlord/other offices/freelance staff/utilities/tradesmen
- Main liaison with IT Support

Salary: £28k – £32k depending on experience
