President Zuma Thanks Special Envoys

President Jacob Zuma has extended his gratitude to the two special envoys to the Middle East Peace Process who have concluded their term, Dr Zola Skweyiya and Mr Aziz Pahad.

The two envoys were appointed in 2014, at the height of the Gaza War, as part of South Africa’s contribution to the international diplomatic efforts towards the resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

The Special Envoys were engaged in several rounds of consultations with countries in the Middle East, North Africa, and Southern Europe on how to revive the Middle East Peace Process (MEPP).
