The DTI extends Deadline for Submissions on Liquor Amendment Bill

The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) has extended the deadline for submissions and public comments on the National Liquor Amendment Bill for a further two weeks. The closing date is now 30 November 2016.

The Minister of Trade and Industry, Dr Rob Davies says the dti is currently having consultation sessions with affected stakeholders and associations, and was pleased with the cordial and constructive manner in which the stakeholders were participating so far.

He further said the extension will give members of Parliament and stakeholders an opportunity to provide valuable input following the consultative sessions.

The National Liquor Amendment Bill 2016, was published on 30 September 2016, Gazette No. 40319 for broader public consultation where interested parties are required to submit written comments within 30 calendar days from the date of publication.
