About the Role
We are recruiting for a Sales Executive to assist in audience development for conferences and award shows. The Executive will be responsible for developing the conference and awards audience, ensuring to meet or exceed departmental targets.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
- Sourcing and expanding delegate lists through telephone and internet research
- Contacting and following up with potential delegates to ensure their participation (by phone and email)
- Carrying out a range of administrative tasks to support the effective delivery of the project and assisting with other duties as assigned (visa requests, database management, drafting/editing documents, etc.)
Person Specification
Essential:
- Proven experience in Sales, preferably in a conference, event or media organisation
- A proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets with a thorough understanding of audience development processes
- Client-service oriented with a proven ability to work with senior level executives from different professional and cultural background
- An enthusiastic, positive attitude
- Able to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent and confident telephone manners
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- High degree of competence with MS Excel including ability to create and manage large spreadsheets
Desirable:
- Fluency in French
- Bachelor degree in a relevant subject
- Proven interest in and/or knowledge of Africa and the African markets
Salary: £18,000.00 /year
