On 4 October 2025, the event will welcome an outstanding line-up of speakers, more than 2,000 participants and thousands of students and young graduates as it taps into the energy of a continent on the rise in line with its bold mission: to connect Africa’s most influential leaders with the next wave of global changemakers.
Organised by the French African Foundation in partnership with Sciences Po and Axian, the event has become a flagship forum celebrating and highlighting African excellence, innovation, and cross-continental collaboration.
A formidable roster of speakers
This year’s edition of AFRICA Day will convene a formidable roster of influential leaders drawn from the worlds of banking, business, media, academia, not-for-profit, and the creative industries.
Speakers will include Aliko Dangote, President/CEO of Dangote Group, who will share insights from Africa’s industrial transformation; Ndidi Okonkwo Nwuneli, CEO of ONE; Hassanein Hiridjee, CEO of AXIAN; Yasser Shaker, CEO of Orange Middle East & Africa; Davido, global music icon; Mory Sacko, Michelin-starred chef; Larry Madowo, CNN International correspondent; as well as Audrey Azoulay (Director-General of UNESCO), Jean-Luc Ronan (CEO of Cofina Group) and Cardinal Fridolin Ambongo.
Programme and themes
The programme will revolve around nine strategic pillars: Business & Economy; Climate & Environment; Culture, Arts & Sport; Technology & AI; Gender; Geopolitics & Regional Integration; Agriculture & Food Sovereignty; Education & Research; and Cities & Infrastructure.
Each theme will be shaped and brought to life by contributions from top-tier speakers, Sciences Po faculty, and Africa Day ambassadors drawn from elite institutions such as HEC, the Sorbonne, and Paris Dauphine. Together, they embody the continent’s youthful dynamism and will ensure a compelling mix of expertise, fresh perspectives, and actionable insights.
Recruiting Africa’s next leaders
The Talent Fair, a vibrant space where more than 2,000 students and young professionals will engage directly with companies operating across Africa, promises to be one of the most anticipated features of the event. Designed as more than just a recruitment opportunity, it serves as a launchpad for careers, collaborations, and cross-border innovation.
