Media are invited to attend the Press conference by Co-Presidents, Louis Michel for the European Parliament, and Netty Baldeh (Gambia) for the ACP (Africa Caribbean Pacific) countries following the official opening of the 32nd plenary session of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly taking place in Nairobi, Kenya. The press conference will take place in the Tsavo Room of the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC), in Nairobi city at 12.30 AM on Monday 19th December 2016.
Media are are also welcome at the formall opening of the ACP-EU JPA as of 11 AM. President of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta will address the Assembly after the Co-Chairs. He will be accompanied by Justin Muturi, Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya.

The ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly (JPA ) brings together MEPs and MPs from 78 European Union (EU) and African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) states that have signed the Cotonou Agreement, which is the basis for ACP-EU cooperation and development work.
