German Government Invites Chief Financial Officer of the Namibian Students Financial Assistance Fund to Germany

The Chief Financial Officer of the Namibian Students Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF), Sven von Blottnitz, has been invited to Germany from 13 November until 19 November 2016 as part of the Visitors Programme of the German Federal Government.  
The trip under the theme of “Financing of Higher Education” includes meetings and talks with representatives of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, the BAföG-Amt which is the office responsible for the state funding of students in Germany as well as representatives of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Humboldt University in Berlin.   
The trip will give the participants an opportunity to exchange knowledge and network with their German counterparts as well as the other participants from Southern Africa in order to improve the financing of higher tuition in Southern Africa.  
On 20 October 2016, the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany Christian Schlaga presented Mr. von Blottnitz with his letter of invitation at the embassy.
